Gmail App for IOS is horrible. Can anyone recommend a good email App ?

I cant believe such a basic feature which is skip the inbox and send to specific label doesn't allow notifications within the IOS app. Works on the Android version of Gmail and used to work on the IOS version of Gmail but was removed a while back. This is frustrating considering my company utilizes Google Enterprise (Gapps).

Has anyone else had this issue ? Can you recommend another strong email app that allows label notifications ?

My opinion is exactly the same on that topic. Shame on Google for not allowing all Gmail features that are available for Android to be also available for the iOS app... As soon as I began using an iPhone, I "discovered" their Inbox app. In my opinion this application is the closest one to the original Gmail for Android. Unfortunately, I've read that Inbox is going to be discontinued in March in favour of the Gmail app. I hope this was somehow helpful. I am also interested in some other good (unlike the stock mail client) e-mail apps.

I would only use Apple Mail or Outlook.

Have you tried using Settings>Mail>Notifications>Favorite Mailboxes>Allow Notifications and putting the folder (label) into the Favorites list?

This may not be apparent as the word “Favorites” doesn’t seem to be used anywhere but in settings. “Favorites” are the folders that show in Mail at the top, under “Mailboxes”.

Useless app to me to ven consider until you can attach files from other sources except google Drive; even Outlook and Apple's default app allow this.

Google being Google trying to force you into their ecosystem.
