iPhone Gmail app - how to empty junk folder?

I can’t work out how to clear my junk folder on the iPhone gmail app, can anyone help? There’s no option!

Is it not a Gmail-based account?

No it isn't in this case, could that be the reason?

It could be. My Gmail account allows emptying the spam folder. Doesn't move it to trash, though…it's a permanent delete.

I deleted the app and installed Outlook, problem solved haha - thanks!
