iPhone Gmail App Notification Sound

Does anyone know how to changed the ding that you hear when a new mail comes in thru the Gmail app? I have searched and saw some guides how to change the sound, but those options are not there on my iPhone 11 with iOS 13 and newest Gmail app.

Unless Google decides to offer that in their Gmail app, it’s not something that’s possible.

Changing gmail notification sound

Hi all, I have spend lots of time trying to change my gmail app notification sound and I cant find it? anyone know how to do it? I know Mail app works fine via settings but Gmail uses some other sound i cant find anywhere to change it? any help much appreciated

It’s a shame that in the five years since that thread, Google still hasn’t made it an option.

I doubt they will ever offer an option to change the notification sound, the one they use is sort of their "signature" notification sound across all platforms.
