Gmail email not fetching properly on iOS 9

gmail and other mail accounts aren't fetching mail until i manually open the mail app and refresh it. Any proper fixes for this? Resetting network settings is only temporary fix for a few days

Have you selected 30 minutes or Hourly or Manual in the fetch settings? If it is Manual then yes, that will happen

It's always been on 15 mins, and always been dodgy
