gmail / hotmail alternatives?

Hi,

I'm done with gmail, comcast.net, yahoo mail, etc. Are there any other email alternatives (other than using my own web hosting)? I'm willing to pay per month if necessary. I think I've just hit my privacy paranoia tipping point.

I searched gmail alternative and was surprised that nothing really came up.

I'm not sure if you'll ever be able to get complete privacy without hosting your own, but I'm using gmx.com which is free and very good.

Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look at that. I found some companies like runbox and fastmail.fm, but I'm not so sure about those.

FastMail is great, very reliable. Excellent spam filters, worth paying for - rather than the free service
