Gmail IMAP Error

I have enabled IMAP in my Gmail settings, however in both Mail on my macbook and iPhone, i get the same message: "Your account is not ready for IMAP"... What the hell? Its already enabled? did I do something wrong? thanks

They seem to be rolling it out bit by bit (the option to enable isn't even there yet for me). Give it a few hours, maybe even until tomorrow. Changes will still be being made to the system behind the scene.

Give it a day, They are probly getting hammered down with imap sign ups.

its been a day...

and I am still getting an error.. how can I get in touch with google?

IMAP rocks. Delete a message on the phone, refresh desktop, and it's instantly gone! Not bad for a protocol developed in 1986!
