hey everyone,
When I try to check mail in my gmail account, the iPhone mail app fails to connect, stating that my username or password were wrong. However, I don't this issue when on 3g, with my yahoo and mobileme accounts, or with the gmail online interface. Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks,
wmmk

I have exactly the same problem now since 2.0.1 firmware.. over wifi.. gmail Imap wont connect and gives a 'username or password is inccorect'

turn off wifi.. and gmail downloads fine...

Today i noticed a similar problem with gmail, says ssl connection unavailable on wifi with wpa2, but connects fine over edge and fixed ip wifi. Have tried deleting/adding and what not.

Funny issue, hope 2.1 fixes it.

im on 2.0.2 and my mail app just crashes without warning on wifi, I hope apple fixes this

Edit:Install BossPrefs from Cydia and use Fix Permissions. Worked for me.

Funny thing, this got resolved by itself after couple of days while i was with 2.0.2 and now after upgrade to 2.1, its working flawless.

Weird, my guess something to do with gmail rather than the phone!
