Ever since last August, I've owned an iPad 2 and have had no problem getting Gmail to push to my iPad via Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. One year and two OSes later, I acquired an iPhone 4S and restored it from the backup of my iPad. While emails push flawlessly to my iPad, my iPhone does not get ANY email pushed to it. Push is on, any Gmail is set up via ActiveSync. I have also deleted & re-added the account again with no luck. While Mail, Contacts, and Calendars sync flawlessly, I'm just not getting push notifications for mail. Any suggestions? As far as I know, all of the settings are set to where they should be. (I also have 2step auth enabled)

Thanks for bearing with me!!

This is happening to me too. Did you get it figured out yet?

Not sure.. my GMail is pushing just fine to my new i5, though.

Perhaps because you restored from an iPad backup?

Strange, issue.. hope you figure it out.

GL!

do you have that account specifically enabled to push?

go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Advanced > and enable push for your GMail.

i had same problem. what i did is, deleted every single email account, then re-added everything. that fixed my issue.

After the initiation of some intense Google-fu, it is apparently a widespread issue with Exchange ActiveSync on iOS 6. For now, I have it set to Fetch every 15 minutes, which I guess is okay for me since I don't use email too much, but I would appreciate push.

Have you tried deleting the email accounts and re-adding them? Worked for me.

Ok i thought i had been imagining it. About 2 weeks ago i realized i hadn't gotten any emails all day, and i hadn't been on my phone all day. Was on my laptop at work so just logged into gmail on the browser and i had about 6 emails.

Confused i unlocked my phone and it sat a second, then i saw the spinning circle and got 6 notifications all in a row for the emails.

I just NOW did a test, sent myself an email and normally i get it within 10 - 15 seconds. It's been about 10 and nothing. This is obviously with push on.
