Kind of sad for all the 3rd party apps that are out or even still in process of being released though :(
 
I like how the article says no thanks to Apple. Sadly, Apple has absolutely no way to make the different email providers utilize push.
 
This solution didn't work nearly as well for me as the new Gmail Push or even GPush applications. I have qualms with both, but at least they get notifications to me quickly and accurately! :)
 
I honestly don't think it's actual Push.

I set it up on my iPod touch, and I noticed through a free memory app I have that it keeps the Mail app open. So if it keeps the app open, it'll push the mail nonetheless.

Just my take on it, don't mean to take away from this new feature :eek:

That makes sense. my battery is dropping very fast today. I'm deleting that account and sticking to Mail Notifier.
 
So far it's working for me without battery drainage. I already had Google Calendar synced thru Exchange. So I just turn on Mail slider.
