So we already know that Google have implemented IMAP (yay!), but did they increase storage too?

I'm still waiting for the IMAP option to show up in my account, but while poking around I just noticed my storage space had gone up to 4.3GB

Anyone else seeing this? I hadn't noticed this before so I'm sure it's a recent thing, but I hadn't seen any news or threads here about it

So has mine!!! Thats pretty good, I'm using 1gb at the moment so any more space is welcome for the future!

I saw something about this a few days ago, that they're adding more space on a staged basis. So yes, it's new :)

Edit: Mine's also at 4.3 GB. I never even use it :p

it's been over 4gb for like two weeks on my various gmail hosted services. ;)

but IMAP is new to me, and freaking great news :D

now, how about message priority?

2 of my accounts have imap and 2 dont. 3 have 4450 spacce and 1 has 4446 space.

My partners Hotmail or 'Live mail' or whatever they want to call it nowadays has jumped to 5GB fairly recently so that would explain it.

IMAP means in layman's terms that changes you make in Outlook or Mail.app or whatever say deleting an email will take effect on the Google server so when you next log on, you'll find that email gone or in the deleted folder.

I tried it in Mail over the last couple of days and it screwed everything up and I had no clue what was going on so I'm back to POP. :p
