I've just bought my iPad and synced two movies from my iMac. How do I get back to the beginning of a movie when I stop watching it and get back to it later?

Go to Settings, then Video, and then Start Playing. You can make the change there.

Is there no position slider in the movie player? Seems like a pain to have to leave the player to go to settings. Surely the iPad's player isn't less capable than the one on my Touch.

Tap once in the movie, and the nav bar appears. Use the slider there.
