Going All Out

So I laughed at myself when I woke up this morning and I thought I would share with you all what was so funny.

In order to get my iMac I obviously need funding. So I am selling everything and anything. I'm selling my N64 and games, my Gamecube and some games, my Gameboy Pocket/Color/Advance systems and games, some Nintendo DS games, some PS2 games, and some Wii games. On top of all of that I'm having a huge garage sale this Friday and Saturday where I will sell anything and everything I can find.

I just think that it's so funny that I have to go to such extremes. It's okay though. The only games I'll really miss are the Gameboy games and the N64 games. Most of which I can get on the Wii Shop Channel if need be.

I've sold everything listed except for the actual N64 system and the actual Gamecube system so if any of you are interested...let me know.

My current profit is $114 but more payment is on it's way!!!

My mother and father in law got a refurb. Just like new. Works great. Problem is finding them. they come a go fast.

Refurb's are always a great value, you can't go wrong. Shame you have to get rid of some great systems. Though there's always, *cough* emulation *cough*.

a job....that is a great idea haha. He probably realizes once he gets the imac he is never going to put his hands on the nintendo again and he wants to put that to use, by selling. haha who knows

Yeah, gas is ***** crazy. I felt like that was what kept me from my mac pro for so long. Mow lawns when your not at work. If you can do 2 or 3 a week thats an extra 80+ weekly

Gas.... I walk or bike to work and any place that I need to get to that is 20km or less away. Yes I have a car... well two civic and ::cough spit:: a cobalt.

As far as extra funds, a walk, a nice day, a gerry can of gas, and a mower and you should be able to pull in a couple hundred dollars in a day. That is how I paid for an entire first year of college, apartment, food, etc and no part time job during the school year.

I had to wait 5 years for my 'new' mac, so all the power to you to save enough for one during school you have more drive then I did. lol

the 24" 2.8 with the nvidia 512mb graphics sounds like a nice machine but doesn't come in referb. I did however see the top of the line 24" on referb for the last 3 days (weekend).

Cut us some slack man, we have to pay for our healthcare ourselves. Most of what you pay is tax.

They have taxes tacked on to their gas prices to help support their free healthcare. They have a number of taxes that we don't. That's one of the reasons we told the King to take a hike in 1776.

Saving for the system will definitely make you appreciate it more. I'd recommend going for the refurb and using the savings to pay for AppleCare.

$7 a gallon???? Where are you buying it from? Where I live, diesel is £1.31 per LITRE. A litre is about a fifth of a gallon so per gallon that makes it £6.55. According to XE.com the exchange rate is £1 to every $1.967 dollars which means I am currently paying a whopping $12.88 per gallon.

And that bollocks about us having 'free' healthcare is absolute garbage. If you are ill and need an operation like say a hip replacement, expect to wait about 1-2 YEARS. If you have cancer and need expensive drugs to treat, the NHS could REFUSE to give them to you. I haven't seen a dentist on the NHS for 15 years - I have to pay privately for all my dental work as there are no NHS dentists where I live.

They don't call us rip off Britain for nothing. We pay over the odds for everything, fact.


Erm but anyway, enjoy your new iMac At least when I get mine, I'll get education discount - the only thing worth working in education for!

where i live it's about £1.19 a litre, there are 4.54 litres in a gallon so that works out at £5.40 a gallon, which in US dollars is $10.59 a gallon, and i live in the manchester area and its alot cheaper than london here! so if you can tell us where to get it for $7 a gallon i think all us english guys would really appreciate it

one other point..... in England its 'petrol' not 'gas'!
