I mainly use PC but and where i have many folders within a single folder on my NAS and if I clicked back from one of the folders that I opened, that folder was always highlighted (as on attachment) in the list of other folders so I knew which folder I just came of as many are just called ako001, ako002, ko003 etc so can get a bit confusing if I didn't make a note of which folder I went into.

On my new Mac Studio though, going back like I do on the PC on the same NAS, it doesn't highlight which folder I just accessed/came out of last so I often have no idea which folder I just accessed?

Is this highlighting last used folder possible on MAC OS?

Hope that made sense?!

It's also a good idea to enable the path bar in the 'View' menu.
You'll then get this on the bottom of the window:

that helps me a bunch when I'm in a similar situation like you :)
