You can't go from 14.1 to 14.2 without doing a full OS install now. Just go to 14.3, it's fine to do so, macOS wouldn't give you the option if it wasn't.

Thanks, kitKAC, for your response. As an "academic" question, is it safe to skip an update with macOS? I'm asking because in Linux, e.g. Debian, one simply cannot go to the next major upgrade by leaving the previous one out.
