I am thinking about doing this.... Spec wise does the XR seem to be the better device? Thought please!

How so? Worse camera, narrow screen & the higher battery time is due to iOS12 which the 8 plus will get Monday! I took back the multi swipping X & will hang onto the 8 plus for another year or two. Yes, I'm old fashioned & love the "Zoomed" view not available on the X, XS, XS Max, XR etc...

Worse camera? The iphone X camera is better than 8 plus and the Xs is better than the X camera

The camera on the XR is exactly the same as the XS camera, the battery of the XR is considerably better than the 8 Plus as said on the Keynote, also updated and more modern design compared to the 8 Plus outdated brick.

If I already had an 8+ I’d be keeping it. The fact it has a dual camera, a better screen and 3DTouch alone for me makes it a much better phone.

I’m not convinced a nice colour and FaceID are more compelling personally but maybe that’s just me?
