Going straight to messages app from lock screen

On iOS 10, when I slice a lock screen notification to the left I have the option to view or clear. When I press view I get a quick reply type of screen. Is there a way to go straight to the full messages app from the lock screen using a message notification?

Slide the notification to the right.
