Going to buy a gaming pc, need help with furniture

Hello. I'm going to be buying a gaming PC soon and would like a comfortable chair to play in, and a spacious desk.

I also need a comfortable chair I could game in. Preferably an office chair, but if its something awesome, that's cool too. I just need suggestions. I don't even really know where to look, so any help is appreciated.

When it comes to a desk, be sure the screen placement is to your liking.
The desk you posted elevates the screen quite a bit which I don't like, but you might.

Personally, that desk isn't aesthetically pleasing. Also keep in mind that its healthier to position your computer monitor at eye-level. Having it higher or lower will cause you to tilt your head up or down, which could lead to neck pain.

Is there an Ikea near you by any chance? They have some really nice desks, I'm going to replace my current desk with one from there soon. I've also seen a lot of people using Ikea dinner tables as desks.

There's an Ikea store about 45 minutes away.


Also, to the people who said it wasn't aesthetically pleasing, I didn't really look at that, since its covered with items. It was more of the things it had on it that interested me.

I thought the same thing. I'd suggest building one, but this is coming from someone with a garage full of tools who thinks affordable furniture is designed to be replaced.

Like Sylon said, I'd recommend a monitor stand to raise the top of the screen to eye level, if your monitor isn't adjustable. However, that would be something you honestly could build with a cheap saw, an MDF or wood board, and some screws/nails; maybe some sandpaper if you want to smooth out the edges and saw marks.

Also, keep in mind desks are all built to the same height, give or take a few inches. What you should also consider looking at is where your hands are going to rest. I speak from experience that if your arms are raised (like a low chair at a high desk with your keyboard/mouse on the desktop) then it's going to bother your shoulders after prolonged use. Consider one of those shelves underneath the desktop for the keyboard, if you can find a shelf wide enough to include your mouse.

As for chairs, your best bet is to go window browsing the office stores or furniture stores and actually trying them. There are so many variations in the seat and backs of chairs, because everyone is different. Once you find a few you like in your price range, then you can go deal shopping for the best price.

I bought a Herman Miller Aeron chair over a decade ago. If my house burnt, it is the only thing I would rebuy exactly as is without thinking.

I have the materials to build one, I'm sure. I have the tools to as well. I was looking for maybe a prebuilt one/some assembly required.

I think I'll just pick up some wood at home depot and build a perfect one myself. Couldn't find one I really liked too much anyway. Hell, I could build a cup holder myself if I really wanted one!
