So I am going to mount my 20" iMac in my Kitchen.

What I am wondering is... how do I get TV on it?
I have a cable in the wall where it's going to go, is there some kind of adapter? I have an extra HD Box in the basement that isn't used, am I able to stream content to Apple TV then to my computer?

Even if I only got basic cable I would be happy, there is a TV in the spot now that gets basic cable so I just want to switch it out.

Also I know there is a VESA adapter from imacmount, is this the only company that makes them? I am going to put it on an arm so I am not worried about it being flush against the wall or removing the stand.

Check Elgato's website for "eyetv". They have a variety of tv tuners for the mac all the way up to HD capable.

How does it work?

Do you plug your coxial cable into it and then plug it into your computer via USB and that's it?

There is some software that goes along with it, but yes, that is just how it works... When you get it, read the instruction booklet to figure out how to use it.
