To me these late 2022 11/12.9 might as well literally identical to the early 2021 ones especially since no miniLED on the 11 still and none of the Nice-ish 10th gen stuff. Not knocking that It isn’t a bad product on its own, or people who are just now in the market, I’d opt for M2 too if I couldn’t find a really good M1 sale or if money were no object. They’re also no doubt better upgrades than the A12X to A12Z generational leap, that was a real hoot.

But I’m going to hype myself up and lie to myself to believe i just picked one up and got a great deal, because I have a folio nice 3rd party generic enclosed TPU case with Smart Cover thats really nice, and the magic keyboard.

…because I use my iPad a bunch, then it Collects dust for large periods of time and this one has been that, and recently my interest has been a bit renewed in using a bigger screen (compared to ipad mini and my iphone primarily) and with the release of new iPads.

even having the 14PM and moving up from 12Pro and 6.1 in general, but thats iphone.
its nice to be all 120hz using 11” iPP and 14PM.

still use my mini 5 a lot before winding down for the evening here, perfect for article consumption with its Kindle size, much more than m1 pro just cause the size but…

Anyways- This new purchase feels ROCK SOLID! Literally 0 regrets.

I bought the M1 knowing it would be upgraded months from when I got it, but it was my absolute dream tablet and I didn’t want to wait. Yeah the M2 and Wi-Fi 6E is nice… but very minor to warrant an upgrade. Plus with Apple care, if my iPad runs into problems in the next 2-years… I’m betting Apple would just swap it for the M2 as they stopped making the M1… but that’s off-topic wishful thinking.

in the end, I’m loving the epic 12.9 M1 Pro, it is insanely powerful and basically just as future proof as the M2.

M1 is total overkill for iPad also, let alone M2

Sorry to burst your bubble but they won’t do that. They still manufacture some to provide as replacements.
