I have had the AirPod Pros 2 now for 1 week. Unfortunately I have to return them. Why? To main reasons. I have the Bose QC earbuds and the ANC on the airpods isn’t better. Second and most important is call quality. Everyone has been complaining how awful I sound on the phone. I also have the regular airpods, I put those in and everyone says I sound so much better. That’s unacceptable to me. I use them for calls a lot. The positive is the music sounds great so if you don’t care about call quality and don’t have other earbuds with ANC like the Bose you’ll likely love these.

I’ve had my APP2’s for exactly a week today and have the complete opposite experience. I’ve been on calls all week and they sound great and no caller complaints.
Walked around the neighborhood on a call and it was perfect. Was in a crowded store and same great call quality both ways.

I’m coming from first gen AirPods non pro but haven’t used them for calls in years because the battery life for them now is only 15-20 minutes on a call. I’ve used them every now and then for navigation.

I’m using a 14 Pro Max. iOS 16.0.2 and latest AirPods Pro 2 firmware.

Maybe I should try doing an exchange? Hmmmm. I do love the sounds quality and they are more comfortable than the Bose. With the call quality I mean how people hear me, not how I hear them. There is a difference

I've always had a great experience with AirPods call quality from both sides, and the Pro 2 is no different. Try using the voice recorder with them on and talk while in a differ room than your iPhone. If the quality is still bad, then you definitely got a bad pair.
