I just want to know how I would go about doing a Factory reset on a UNIX based system. I did take a Linux admin class (that mainly covered Debian and Red Hat based Linux variants), but i have no idea what I would do in order to sell a MacBook Air as if it was bought like new. Can anyone guide me towards the right direction? Thanks!

To be honest, I think you can skip straight to step 5. You may want to check the security options when you're erasing the drive if you're worried about personal data being retrieved from the HD.
