I literally just ordered my ipad Air 2 like an hour ago.....

Praying it still comes with 8.1 pre-loaded....

I won't be able to suffer through those huge app icons without a jb

Golden era was years ago. Apple has implemented so many tweaks from the jb community. Jb is still useful tho. There is always a new jb every other iOS update or so.
I do thank pangu for bringing out the Mac version quickly last week, just in time...

How can I activate my iphone 6 plus. I have an att sim, but its asking me to activate on a number that already has a new phone. Help. Can pangu activate?

No One besides Apple will have an idea exactly when 8.1 will stop being signed.
Your guess is as good as anyones.
In the meantime those that need a restore or update to 8.1 should run and do it right now.

I'm not even sure Apple knows at this point :D

Anyone have an answer as to if there's any other activation options??? Seems that the phones imei is locked to that att number.

Yes, then you can activate it with any AT&T sim card. Even if you have an old deactivated ATT sim it would do the trick.
Just take the one out that came with it.

What do you mean its locked to that att phone number. That doesnt exist.
You mean for the initial first activation its asking you for the billing zip code and the owners last 4 digits of their social?

Yes, That number is already registered to a new iphone. I dont want to enter those details, as it may add this phone to the account. I don't want that. I simply want to update to ios 8.1. Are there any tools out there, that will allow me to update my firmware to 8.1, until i can get this activation issue corrected? Can I update to 8.1 without itunes. What apps are there?

How do we check if 8.1 is still being signed? Is there like a site that says so or is the only way to find out is to shift restore and see if it accepts 8.1 still?

Whew..so glad I JB last week. Unless 8.1.1 is coming out with a tether option for my UD plan, app lock features, icaughtU Pro, and others as I'm learning about them, I won't touch it with a ten-foot-pole.

You cannot do anything with that phone until you enter that info. No tools or software or updating will bypass that screen.
Its locked down and that info is needed for verification purposes. Once that info is inputted correctly you will never see that screen again.

What do you mean add that phone to your account? That phone number should be already in your account if you're the customer that ordered it.
How did you get this phone? Is it an phone upgrade you did by signing a 2 year contract towards a certain phone line and then got the phone by mail?
Who's phone line is this iphone associated/bought under?

Sim cards are tied to accounts, not phones.

You can put your AT&T sim card into any phone that will accept that size sim and use it on your AT&T account for that day, that week, that month.

You can use a different phone each day if you have access to that many phones.

You are worrying over something that doesn't exist.
