I have glasses that have the same effect, it actually works pretty well. Clearly you are not gonna find all balls (most of mine are at the bottom of a lake!), but it is quite useful.

If I was the the Dev I would probably drop the price, I think at 99p this app would be too cheap not to buy and would sit on all golfers iphones. I havent played for a bit so have held off paying for something I will not use soon, but if the price was lower I would have bought it (even tho i have the glasses), coz you never know when it will be handy.

Can it find them in water, woods, sand, etc? That's really more of my game.

It is clever except it looks like you have to be right on top of it.

Which means if I am right on top of it to see it through my phone I doubt I'd need the app. I'd prefer something that could scope a certain distance and look through rough, woods, and water (which is where I think I spend most of my time).

Interesting idea, but I'm not willing to see how well it works for $5....if it was 99 cents it would be easier to call it a "throwaway" if it doesn't work all that great.

As an avid golfer, I find that the iphone screen on the course is not very viewable in bright sunlight which leads me to question the usefulness of this app if the screen itself is not easily viewable in the sun. but I agree that if this was priced lower, most golfers would purchase it without second thought as a "gimmick" or throwaway type app. I know i would despite the screen shortfalls.

Works Great.

I purchased this app a while ago and found it works better than the glasses that I have and they cost more.

Make sure you get the right one though, I also tried the cheaper golf ball finder app on itunes and the reviews are right that one doesn't work.

If I'm going to buy an app I will pay a bit extra to know that it works.

Puting the glasses on is a bit Geeky, this app is much cooler

Interesting idea..

But work on hitting balls properly instead! If you hit a bad shot, look for a line to your ball.. something thats between where the ball landed and you, and walk in a straight a line as possible towards it.

All we need is golf balls with GPS/RFID chips inside them.
