I have been using an LG 27UK650 4k monitor as second monitor on my 2019 iMac and on my 2018 Mac mini. As of macOS Monterey, this monitor is no longer correctly recognised and the suspicion is that this leads to problems such as this one:

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/windowserver-crashes-on-macos-12-5.2353395/

Not expecting Apple to fix this (note: the monitor is recognised correctly on a MBP M1 and I suspect this is a wider issue as there are also USB issues with Monterey on my x86 Macs) , I am looking for an alternative monitor. I need 2xHDMI and 1x DisplayPort minimum.

Can people tell me what 4k 27inch monitor they are using on a 2018-2019 x86 Mac and if it is recognised correctly?

My 4K LG is recognised (erroneously) on my x86 Macs running Monterey as
LG HDR 4K:
Resolution: 5120x2880 (5K/UHD+ - Ultra High Definition Plus)
UI Looks like: 2560 x 1440 @ 60.00Hz
Framebuffer Depth: 30-Bit Colour (ARGB2101010)
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes
Rotation: Supported
Connection Type: Thunderbolt/DisplayPort

I've been using this daily for work without any issues.

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019)
CPU: 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
GPU: Radeon Pro Vega 20 4 GB

Monitor:
ASUS ROG Strix 27" XG27UQ
Port: HDMI 2.0 x2, DisplayPort 1.4 DSC x2

Currently setup with the monitor as the primary display, and the laptop as the secondary. Using an Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter to HDMI to run the monitor. The monitor itself lacks Thunderbolt/USB-C support unfortunately, so I've used the adapter for video/power/usb-hub.

macOS via HDMI is only capable of running the monitor at up to 60 Hz though.
