good and well priced macbook memory?

I can't find up-to-date information on this in any already existing threads (am surprised) so here goes my question: what's good memory for the 1.83 CD macbook? I'm thinking of replacing one 256MB stick by a 1GB stick (or are there more reasonable ways to upgrade?). I can only find sticks over $106 on Newegg, $180 on Amazon. Experiences out there?

I paid about $100 for a gigabyte of RAM for my previous Mac (an iBook), and I got mine from Newegg. Unless you find a sale or something that's approximately the right price.

My Newegg RAM (Kingston brand) worked fine for me.

I bought G.Skill 2x1GB RAM from Newegg for $95 each.

I got 1 1GB G.skill stick for 70. This was ahwile ago tho.
