I'm thinking about buying "Mac OS X : The Missing Manual, Tiger Ed". Any other switchers out there have recommendations on a good "getting-started" book? I'm looking for a bit of a walk-thru and then something to use as a reference down the line.

I read your thread title and thought to myself, "Goodness gracious, search!" Haha I was so relieved to see that you have gleaned some information somewhere... there should also be a slight variation of the book you mentioned that is specifically targeted at switchers. Overall, David P's 'Missing Manual' series is what is readily recommended here on MR. I personally haven't read any of them, but am considering getting the Tiger edition because, well, because extra info never killed anyone, right?BrandonSi said:

I know better than to post without searching! Even you very nice and relaxed Mac people can be driven over the edge
From what I've read that seems to be the book/series of choice, but I was just curious if other switchers had actually used and enjoyed anything else. I'll probably end up buying a couple of books for completness' sake.
