Good calendar/event lister script?

I'm looking for a simple calendar program that lists events in chronological order. In other words, I don't want a calendar with grids, but rather, something to list upcoming events by date and then remove them when the date passes.

Ideally the script would allow an event to link to another page with more information.

For example:


March 22
Grand Opening Event
[link to more information]

March 25
Corporate Retreat
[link]

March 30
Shareholders Meeting
[link]

This could be accomplished using an RSS feed, XML file or PHP.

Any ideas or recommendations?

I'm looking for something very similar, just to show a list of two or three events without having to manually edit the list every time.
