Hi forum,

I was wondering if you guys recommend any firewalls that monitors outbound. I think the Yosemite default only has inbound.

What's wrong with the one that comes with OS X? Just to into System Preferences/Security and turn it on.

The best solution for Mac by far is Little Snitch, although its not free. (Of course you can try it for free)

Radio silence, works well and at $9 is about as close to free as you'll get.
The Download includes a free trial.

This is a good solution if you want an application firewall. I have to admit sometimes Little Snitch can be a little much. Its nice to know hostname and port number, but it requires more skill and judgment. I currently have 123 rules and now all is quiet.

For $9 and the simplicity, if I had it to do over I think I might buy this instead.
