Good free or cheap calendar and/or tasks app?

Hi-- I already searched the forum and didn't have any luck...
Can anyone recommend a good free or inexpensive app to replace the built in calendar in the Touch? I need one with a "to do" or "tasks" feature, more like what I'm used to from my Palm. It could be two separate apps, but I'd REALLY like to be able to do it all from one app.

Only other calendars i see thats free are ones made for special events, like christmas, pill taking, menstrual, etc...

Maybe Apple is not approving calendar apps due to duplicating features...

SmartTime & Saisuke do both calendar events & todo lists, and they sync with Google Calendar. Try out the free versions to see if they give you what you're after. Bear in mind you won't get the calendar alarm functionality in a 3rd party app due to Apple's SDK restrictions.

SaiSuke was too clunky for my needs so I ended up using nuevasync.com to sync my contacts and calendar with Google Contacts/Calendar, it does this by some sort of conduit between Google and an Exchange like service they provide so it uses the existing PUSH functionality of the iPhone so like MobileMe but syncs with Google instead. I like this solution as I also use SpanningSync to do the same sync with my Mac so everything is in sync over the air and most maintenance I do either in iCal or Google Calendar.

I handle tasks separately and am currently having a conflict with myself over which service to use as my Remember the Milk Pro subscription is ending soon and my Toodledo Pro subscription is still current. The app of choice is going to come down to the native Remember the Milk app, Appigo's ToDo or the native Toodledo app.
