I sent my Premiere CD and coupon in on 7/18/03 (just over a week ago).

Today, I received an email with my UPS tracking number for Final Cut Express. And it's supposed to arrive today!

At just over a week, this is by far the best service I've ever seen or heard of with a rebate/special offer - not to mention that the ability to get FPE free just for turning in an old copy of Premiere for Windows!

I was expecting to see it in six or so weeks, but this is rediculous!

Kudos Apple!

(as a note, my $30 off .mac for purchasing it with a new Mac was speedy, but not nearly this fast)

apple is extremly fast with their rebates. they arent like those free cd rebates at best buy you get 6 months later.

I sent my Premiere CD in on 7/18 also, but FCE arrived at my doorstep as I was getting home from work on 7/25, 1 week after I sent my request.

Funny thing though was this email from Apple in my Inbox TODAY:

Dear JOHN DAVIS,

Apple is pleased to notify you that your claim for the "Trade in, trade up. It's free" offer has been
processed. Final Cut Express has shipped via UPS. To track your shipment please go to
http://www.UPS.com and enter your tracking number: ------------------

Thank you for your purchase.

Better late than never, I guess, but I was more than happy with the getting FCE before their confirmation email came!

I just got my Premiere disks today. $50 on Ebay still makes it a cheap way to get FCE. With any luck in a week I'll be editing away.

Apple rarely has these types of promotions, but when they do, they totally rock!

I traded in my old, original 400mzh G4 for $500 to purchase a new, dual 1ghz MDD PowerMac.

It was a promotion with CompUSA, but it was with Apple, none the less. You could also trade in your PC, although they weren't worth as much ;)
