I just ordered my macbook and it is supposed to ship on the 21st (although im hoping I will get it early). Ive been reading a lot of bad stories. Its gotten me kind of nervous here so share GOOD macbook storie please so I dont puke my pants.

Which macbook did you get? I am almost ready to buy my own, but I am taking my time. I am not sure if I should wait until leopard comes out.

I bought a 2.0ghz white with 1gb of ram and a 120gb hard drive. If you want to get one go ahead and order it, you can always upgrade to leopard when it gets released.

I bought a MBP in July, and my housemate bout a MB at the same time. Both of them have been great. There hasnt been one single problem with either of them. My housemate bought the MB for portability, he travels across the country with it every week and it has proven more than capable of handling everyhting thrown at it so far.

Fell safe with your purchase.

I got a black Macbook with 1 gig ram and a 100 gig drive a few months ago and I am totally pleased with it. Of course the black is worth the extra cost. It's the reason I paid $340 for a cotton jacket by Ted Baker instead of $50 for one from Target.

Yeah I just shelled out some dough for one of those nice swiss army cases for my macbook. I think its made out of Kevlar or something, its pretty durable.

My macbook Pro (1.8, white) has a great screen is very fast and is so much easier than lugging Mac and PC laptop around. Battery life is very good (better on Mac side)

I added my own 1gb and 120gb HDD - meaning a brand new 60gb to go in a small 2.5" enclosure for me too!

I do have some random shutdown downs though :( Though not that often

I have my MacBook hooked up to 2gb of RAM and it has been rock stable, very usefull in classes, very portable, lightweight and practical.

I originally had it with 512mb and after installing the 2GB...boy oh boy is the difference noticeable.

You will not regret your purchase of the MB.

See my sig.

Is a tad noisy when running both cores past 50%. But that's rare for me use and it's still not bad at all.

So far I am loving my macbook. I've had a busy week with college and work but today I finally get to start moving files over from the pc. Maybe later this weekend I'll attempt to load windows but I'm not sure if I want to yet.

my and my sister's macbooks have been great. I'm very pleased with it. I upgraded to 2GB of ram and 80GB hard drive (3rd party ram).

Sometimes it runs hot on the upper left corner of the board it happens to all macbooks...

I got my macbook about two weeks ago, and im truly loving everything about it. I honestly think that Mac OS X is years ahead of Windows. I thought about dual booting with windows but i dont think im going to need it. I have a desktop that dual boots windows and fedora linux, so i dont really feel that i need to have it on my laptop. Im like this OS so much. I really have not had heat issues. The only thing that i dont like is that when they put the 1 gig of memory into my computer they didnt put it on one stick. If they would have did that all i would have to do is buy another 1 gig stick and i would be at 2 gigs for less, but now if i want to upgrade to 2 gigs i will have o scrap the 1 gig that i have in there and replace them with the new memory, just seems like a awful waste.  But other than that, i love my mac.:D

I've got a white 2.0 Ghz white Macbook and have never experienced random shutdown, moos, or whines. It runs a bit hot, but the fan will kick in when necessary and doesn't go through rapid start/stop cycles (the cause of the "moo" problem in some Macbooks) at all.

I love my macbook!!!!!!! anyways if you have got it so recently, it *should* have the new heatsink and anti- discolouration bit in it. so it should be perfect.

I read that you need matched pairs for the onboard graphics card to perform at it's best. Apparently.

I ordered my macbook on the 12, due for delivery by the 25th, can't wait! I ordered with 512mb RAM so I don't feel so bad ripping out two 256mb sticks as I would if it was two 512mb sticks! :D
