I just wanted to know a good messager software like trillian for windows but for mac (allows you to connect to irc, icq, msn, yahoo and aim as well as have more then one user connected on each).

Check out the link in my signature. It's a good resource for messengers for Mac.

That page does a good job comparing the various options. Looks really nice too. My favorite IM app (on any platform) is Proteus. Well worth the $15 I spent to register it. Adium is also pretty good, but obviously even with the price difference, I much prefer Proteus.

what does the Adium icon look like once its installed? Do they have it displaying on adiumx.com?

Yes it is on the website and it is a green duck :p :D

well that one looks good . that green aim icon on there website looks very ugly. I'm into web designing and the hosting business so performance and looks is a plus on my end.

along with everyone else, it has to be adium. no choice in the matter!

If you don't like the Adium icon you can change it... there're tons here along with contact and conversation styles :D
