Hiya. I'm looking for an affordable mic that doesn't restrict use of the headphone jack. Headsets are okay, but not really what I'm looking into.

In addition, I am also looking for speakers which attack to the bottom of the device, and are not suspended by a wire. Again, affordability is important here.

Thanks in advance!

When you say "attack to the bottom of the device", do you mean you want something like a case with built-in speakers that connect to the Dock port? Or do you just want a tiny speaker that will actually hang off of the bottom of the iPod?

As far as your mic needs, you might be interested in something like the Monster iSoniTalk, which plugs into the headphone jack and has a pass-through port. Basically it's an adapter to turn any set of headphones into a headset, but you can also plug in any set of speakers with a 1/8" minijack. Griffin and Shure make similar products, but the Monster actually has better reviews and costs about half as much.
