I have to create a small midi song for my Music Tech class. We can use the computers there or work at home with whatever we have. In class they have Performer for OS9. Can anyone recommend something easy, and possibly free? I know where to look, I'm just looking for what to actually download and try.

hmm reason 2.0 is for os x and its one of the best all in one sequencers i think. logic some people like but that is expensive. i really don't know if your gonna find something thats decent for cheap though. digital performer should be coming out for os x in the next month or less.

Are you from Berklee???

This the exact project Berklee students have to do in their 1st semester Music Tech class. If you are from berklee, do it in DP. It's what you will use for the rest of your Berklee life, so get used to it.
