While most of us are a little disappointed (to put it mildly) about the screen flickering, blobs etc. etc. surely something good will come from all this.
And here it is!!!
All these units being replaced and exchanged are going back to you know where? The Apple Refurb Depot.
So ultimately, the patient Hawks can swoop down on the reconditioned iMacs at huge refurb discount prices very very soon. And yes there will be quite a few of them when you consider how many have been sold/returned around the world.
NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE should have to "settle" for sub-standard engineering when you are paying $2,000 and buying the best computer in the world from a cult-niche company like Apple.
Obviously, Apple did not test all the configurations intensively enough. Major PR blunder.
Shame.
