I have just bought a good/ very condition 2014 iMac 21.5", with box & accessories.

I paid £280 - is that a good deal?

It hasn't arrived yet but as far as I know, yes. I bought through paypal goods and services though so if it isn't as stated all hell will break loose.

They send photos though and it sure looks like it (although they all look the same from 2012 onwards!).

My only grip and concern is they said it had 3Ghz - which the 2014 quite obviously don't. So we shall see why on earth they said that, I am a bit pissed off as if it's the 1.4Ghz 2014 version I am worried I've spent too much
[doublepost=1464979916][/doublepost]It also happens to have logic pro and final cut installed. If I keep I'll be wiping as I don't need either of those, but they're not cheap are they.

Almost certain sign of "scam," at worst, or "stolen" at best. Almost certainly the copies of Logic Pro and Final Cut are pirated, not legal with license.

The only true "2014" 21.5" iMac was the 1.4 GHz, soldered CPU, soldered RAM. There is the possibility that it's a late 2013 model with either a 2.9 GHz or 3.1 GHz CPU, but at that ridiculously low price, and included software, I'm betting it's the 1.4 GHz model. I'd also expect that there's either something wrong with it, or it was stolen.

Once I get it, are there any things I could do to check if it's internally working properly?
[doublepost=1464997043][/doublepost]I did make them state quite clearly whether if was working or not and any defects so that if there is a problem, I have written proof they've lied.

It's a computer so run some programs use the Internet etc, make sure it runs fine.

It's a bargain at that price to be honest even with the lowest spec.

That CPU will turbo to 2.7 ghz but not the 3.0ghz quoted. Here are the complete specs.
