I have DVD player that streams in movies in our living room but I also want to be able to watch my Netflix in our bedroom. I have bad habit of falling sleep in living room watching movies so I'd like to move this to the bedroom. Lol

It's only $99 lol. :D

If Netflix is the only feature you need on the bedroom TV, there are cheaper devices that can provide this. I think all flavors of Roku have Netflix and there are a few sub-$100 BluRay players that have Netflix ... although I'm not sure how many have wifi built in.

Now, if you're invested in iTunes media and you have a new iOS device, the aTV2 makes more sense. You get iTunes/iCloud, AppleLive events, Airplay Mirroring, etc.

Whoops, just noticed you have a few iOS5 capable devices. In that case, I'd think the added features/synergies between iOS5 and aTV2 would make it a worthwhile purchase.

Agree with @ftaok - There are many other Netflix players for cheaper. I feel that AppleTV's real offering is iTunes Content and integration with other Apple devices (iOS & Mac), like Airplay and Mirroring.

But if you don't mind spending $99 for a Netflix extender, then go ahead !
