Good resources for someone shopping for a new Mac?

Do you guys and gals recall back when xlr8yourmac was THE spot for gamers to come and post their configurations and game frame rates? (I know the site is still operational, but he doesn't focus on gaming anymore, and people stopped posting once he stopped adding new games to the site's infrastructure). THOSE were the days, man. Is there a similar resource that's stepped into the gap in a like manner? Somewhere where you can read smart reviews of Mac hardware as it relates to gaming today?

Or is there interest in creating a new one? I tried years ago before PC Accelerator (the BEST PC gaming mag ever) folded, because their articles inspired me to give it a shot (putting together reviews based on my experience IN THE TONE of PCXL.

Well, I said the best PC gaming mag...not the best MAC gaming mag.

What about the other part of my question? Any idea? Do ppl post frame rates here in an easily searchable database like xlr8yourmac?

It isn't really a PC-oriented place, but Barefeats is a pretty good place to go to. And Anandtech has PC stats.
