Well if you haven't read my posts about my potential new multimedia bedroom thing then you're going to hear it now.
I'm getting a Dell 2005FPW monitor, a cheap gaming PC (pretty much just bits lying around the house already), planning on getting a cheap 5.1 amp (powering 4 old but semi-expensive Whafedale Modus speakers, and a 5th cheap centre speaker) for DVD's and GC games.
But I really want a good quality sound setup for my PowerBook and the 2005FPW monitor (which will act as a TV). I'm looking into some quality 2.1 sound systems, for this I dont want to be too cheap. I've seen, and heard, some Creature 2 speakers. My mate absolutely loves his and they are very pretty and have a fantastic sound. I've heard about this iSub thing too?

So what are good recommendations for sound? USB, Line-out, whatever. Looks are important too ;) they have to be pretty snazzy for both multimedia and TV abilities.

I've got Creature IIs and I think they're fantastic. The sound quality is excellent and the sub does a great job with the bass. They also look great and the volume and balance controls are really cool.

First of all, avoid USB like the plague. If you already have a build in soundcard (which you do), then there is no reason to use USB for sound.

Next, speaker recommendations all depends on how much you want to spend. $50? $100? $200? $500? Let us know how much you're willing to spend and what you want the speakers for (gaming, movies, music), and it would be easier to recommend something for you.
