i have a mac at home, but so far ive been developing all my websites using my PC because they have the best freeware tools (I just do web design as a hobby, I cant be spending money on software).

So i use the text editor CONtext for the PC, and it is RAD. syntax highlighting for CSS, HTML, PHP, and just about any other language you can think of. and it's fast. i have used smultron for the mac os X, it is ok. please don't tell me to use emacs either, you can forget about that.

also, winmerge is freakin sweet for doing file diffs... it also does syntax highlighting! anything like that for mac? what other free web-developer tools could ya'll recommend?
