Has any one seen a good voice recording app?
I was looking in the App Store and all I could find was "Voice Record" and "Record". Are there any better ones?

iPhone OS 3.0 is going to have on built in. I you can wait, I would wait for 3.0, so you don't have to waste your money on an app.

I'm pretty satisfied with Record, it has loud, clear playback on speaker (a tried a few others, but they were difficult to hear in noisier places unless I listened to them on headphones), and the ability to email a recording.

Enter 'Voice Recorder' in search iTunes, and you'll get a longer list of voice recorders.

I'm not betting on Apple's voice recorder, most of their other apps are outdone by other third party apps by a wide margin.

You will probably lose the bet...Voice Memos works just fine and does everything that the paid apps do. Sound is outstanding, distance for recording lectures is fine. Each memo can be tagged. Each memo can be trimmed. Each memo can be shared. The only deficiency right now is that the file name cannot be changed.

I recommend to the OP to wait unless you absolutely need it now. If you need one I recommend that you get a free one. Evernote is FREE and it includes a voice recorder along with other major functions and capabilities.
