Sorry if this has been posted, but I searched the forum with multiple different terms trying to find a similar thread (Because I assumed it would exist!) but does anyone have good suggestions for fitness / workout / gym programs for women? I have GymABC and it is OK but I realized that I DO want to log my reps and everything, and that a lot of programs (ifitness) I have read are geared to men. Since I'll most likely have to pay for a decent app, I figured I would see if anyone had suggestions :)

Anything you could tell me would be great!! (I'm a "gym beginner" btw, haha, so nothing that only targets expert exercises...)

If you don't mind paying $20, Fitnessbuilder is the best app that you will find. They have a variety of "pre-programmed" workout routines for everyone and anyone from yoga routines to hardcore bodybuilding routines. I'm a weightlifter myself (a guy) and have bought almost every workout tracking app out there and was only looking for an app to log workouts but on a whim decided to purchase this app and not only can you log workouts, customize your own, but they actually design workouts as well that i'm sure will be of great benefit to any gym beginner!!! and i personally think it has one of the best UI's of any iphone app.

only drawback, pricey to some but hey you probably pay as much or more for a monthly gym membership so go for it.

Sorry, if this is a high jack - but I hope it's related:
@diesel: Have you tried GymBuddy? If so, how is Fitnessbuilder compared to it.

I've been using Mens Health Workouts, which has been brilliant.
There is now a Womens Health Workouts out too. I think it was 2 or 3 dollars.

If you don't mind paying $20, Fitnessbuilder

It is now a $10 app and gives a little less then the previous app with option to buy a subscription. It is a great app. for men and women alike. All exercises have an option to show pictures of male of female workout positions. Very diverse app.

Yes i got gymbuddy when it first came out and gave it a 5 star review in the appstore because it allowed me to do what i ultimately wanted.....and that was to simply create my custom workouts and log them as simply as possible. However it was a little buggy and since then i think their UI has evolved and become very cluttered and almost "cartoonish". I think I must have bought about 6 different workout/logging apps, and ultimately FitnessBuilder is the one for me. I wasn't looking for an app with exercises or workout programs since i'm an experienced gym rat, but the screenshots looked great so i bought it and wow, the UI is excellent and the programs that they have are nice as well (though i don't use them, created my own) but what's cool is the variety of programs for all different goals and situations. Like golf related exercises. who would have thought!!! I bought FitnessBuilder when it first came out at $20 and just recently upgraded via their in app subscription to their premium service. Anything to support the devs of the app. if money is an issue, then i would say gymbuddy is good, however if money is not an issue, go with FitnessBuilder.
