If you've got Internet Explorer running somewhere with Flash plugin, check this out:

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/

If not, you're out of luck - unless Leopard can run it, but I've tested it in Safari, Firefox, Opera under Tiger and also Firefox on Windows XP - no dice.

Computerworld reckons MS are trying to steal Apple's thunder but what's it about - lots of images of people using their laptops wirelessly then the message 'Goodbye to Laser 9.9.2008' at the end with some florescent blue paw prints. Are they doing a Macbook Air type machine (getting rid of the CD/DVD laser) or producing bluetooth mice and keyboards? Not everyone thinks laser when thinking about mice (maybe MS users do), but it could just be getting rid of mice thanks to multitouch.

Any other ideas?

This is referring to a mouse replacment. Every pic in the add shows a laptop and a MOUSE. Trackballs were replaced by laser and now its something else. Bluetooth has nothing to do with it, most if not all BT mice use laser tracking,

Aha, I see, suppose I don't think too much about mice - except when the scroll ball gets clogged (but that's another forum thread). And I've never been one to buy external mice for laptops - I actually really like trackpads - so that threw me.

So goodbye laser, hello touch screen? Are MS going to start making touch screen displays or since they showed a lot of laptops in the ad are they going to make laptops? Or is this more vapourware telling us that they're developing the technology to sell to manufacturers that will be better than anything Apple can offer now in ten years time?
