Always wanted to to a really nice photo of the moon and blow it up LARGE. I know, I know, you can buy one of the these, but it wouldn't be the same would it.

In any case, this isn't exactly what I was looking for, but it's a start

Funny but I was actually playing around with trying to get the sky / moon last night and tonight. One from last night was a bit overexposed because I wanted to get the clouds more than the moon itself - although the moon was much brighter than normal. Something about an eclipse happening last night. Anyway not sure.

One for today was ok but I wish it was sharper. I bumped the contrast up in photoshop and reduced the brightness a bit. I also did a 1 level sharpness since my camera has the sharpness turned off anyway. Oh well.

I wish I could see the other moon picture (its an X right now and no way to right click or save it or anything). I wanna learn what it takes to get a sharp one. I've never been able to get one really sharp.

Yes, a lunar eclipse happened last night about 10pm (NZ time) here. I heard it was meant to be a really good one to see from the area I live in (Southernish New Zealand) but it was too cloudy from my house to see anything. I was told about 10.30 when the cloud cleared it was blood red.
