The Land of Hope and Glory
I have an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil. I want to upload many PDF documents to iCloud and then edit them using the Apple Pencil 2. But the most important feature is being able to turn Apple Pencil handwritten text into proper computer text.

I'd also like to sync my notes between my iPhone 13 Pro Max, my iPad Pro and my Mac Studio. Is this possible in Goodnotes? I've used LiquidText, and I didn't like the interface, so I was hoping that Goodnotes 5 would be an excellent solution to my problems.

Can anyone offer some advice, please? I don't mind people suggesting other software if there is something better.

Many note taking apps can convert your handwritten text into computer text.

GoodNotes is perhaps the least interesting one: the conversion is shown in a separate window where you can copy the result. Next you'd return to the document and paste it as a text object, and finally you'd delete the handwritten text.

Notability can do all of the above steps in one single tap, which probably makes this app much more suitable for your use case, saving you a lot of time.

You may take a closer look at the Nebo app as well. PDF annotation was added not so long ago.

Thank you. I just watched a review of Nebo and it looks great. I'm certainly going to do some playing around with it.
Try notability, has many other features as well, especially with PDF’s

I did consider Notability but some of the videos about it said it wasn't as customisable as Goodnotes 5. Having said that I'll give it a try and see how it works out in the long run.

I have Nebo and used for several years. It’s not as featured as notability. Import and exports are limited. Nebo uses a proprietary electronic ink system.
