Goodreader = Air Share HD?

Are these two programs essentially the same? I have Good Reader, though I haven't really used it yet but was browsing the App store and saw Air Share HD and liked the WiFi transfer features but then realized Good Reader has the feature as well.

So...are they the same or what are the differences?
 
Air Sharing can print to shared printers and can open docs in other applications.
 
I find GoodReader a great app and I love using it. My only problem with it is that PDF viewing/browsing tends to stutter. I'm hoping a fix will be out soon, but asides from that, it's a great app.

So Air Share HD does everything Goodreader does PLUS is able to print to shared printers and open docs in other applications?

So then it is better right...there are no advantages to Goodreader over Air Share HD?

Good reader looks better in file browser mode. Plus it allows password protecting your folder full of porn videos. ;)

If you don't need printing and opening in other apps, then good reader is better.

If this works, I'm definitely going to buy air sharing and pages. The only reason I haven't bought pages is because of all the complaints that people can't do anything with their docs except sync them back to iTunes or upload to iWork.com. I bought good reader yesterday to see what the hype was about. I like it for viewing documents and keeping my important papers with me at all times.
 
Air Sharing HD has a much better UI, and is better suited for general file management. You can use it to manage files on your server, in addition to files on your iPad.

The PDF reader in Goodreader has more "features", but a horrible UI. I think it tries to do too much. In an ideal world, you would have one app that does file management really well, and a separate app that does PDF viewing really well. There’s no reason that functionality should be duplicated across apps. Does each app really need its own file manager and client for accessing Webdav shares/SSH/FTP etc…?

Not directly. It’s a limitation of Pages. Pages only allows you to send via e-mail (as .pages, .doc, or .pdf), export to iWork.com, or export to Pages’ sandbox which is only accessible by Pages or iTunes. The circuitous route is to e-mail the file back to yourself, and then access your e-mail server from Air Sharing.

The workflow is dumb. Apple really needs to get off their asses with MobileMe and integrate iDisk better.

Does Apple's APIs allow a future update of Air Sharing to access Page's sandbox?

In theory, the problem of applications not being able to access eachother's files could be fixed when we get the public jailbreak.

The functionality to allow apps to share files between themselves was there in the pre-release versions of the software. I'm hoping that the jailbreak community can restore that functionality.
 
How does the printing work on air sharing? I just would like to store my resume and occasionally print. I usually use career builder, indeed ect......I do use craigslist though and i would like to click on the email link and attach my resume from the client. Is that possible with good reader?
