Strange problem I've been having at, what I thought, random intervals. But today I discovered it only happens when I'm connected to a wireless network.

My Google app works on 3G, but not on WiFi. If I'm hooked up to a network and I try to access, say, Reader from the Google app I get this error:

"Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found."

But it works fine on 3G/EDGE. Google searches through the Safari browser itself also work, even on WiFi. Just the app is screwed up. Any suggestions?

I'm getting that error with google earth on the mac (not iphone). Server problems at google maybe?

So you are connected to 3G via a tether from your iPhone?

I also thought server issues or maintenance but since it only happens on WiFi, it makes me want to rule out that possible problem.

To try to fix the issue here, you could try a reinstall (delete from phone and reinstall) of the Google Mobile App. You could also try a reboot and a restore if none of the above works. If none of this works, I'd be the first to say it's a issue on Google or Apple's end.

No, regular google earth, on regular ADSL, on a regular mac. I upgraded to 5 beta after getting this error, still getting it.
