I'm syncing my google apps cal by setting up an exchange account and deselecting email. Both calendar and contacts are synced. But I only see my calendar data, not other calendars I also open in my google calendar account.

I've been wanting to sync my iCal and Google calendars for forever. I want my iCal stuff to upload to my google calendar, but it doesn't. It only seems it will work if I add things to my Google calendar then it syncs to iCal.

There actually is a solution- my iPad is now syncing ALL of my google calendars. Here are the steps:

Spoof your user agent to iPhone's. (if you use Safari on Mac, use the debug menu)

Go to m.google.com/sync

Go to your preferences, and turn OFF JavaScript

Now click the device you want to manage

No matter what it says, you can sync ALL your calendars now- just select 'em.

Don't forget to turn JavaScript back on

Try it!

Thank you! I couldn't get multiple calendars to sync until I turned off JavaScript. Thanks!

For those of us without a Mac but with an iPhone, it works just as well, but you will still have to turn off JavaScript (in the Safari settings) to use this workaround as well.

CalDAV: CalDAV Calendar Sync

Here are instructions on Google's site that makes syncing the calendar very easy with the iPad.

http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=151674

Sync your Google Calendar with your Apple device (including iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch) and always have your schedule at your fingertips.
Note: You can also use Google Sync to sync your Calendar and Contacts. It is possible to run CalDAV sync and Google Sync simultaneously.
Requirements

Syncing via CalDAV is only available for Apple devices running software version 3.0 or above. Learn more about checking the software version on your device.
Getting Started

To sync with your device, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings application on your device's home screen.
2. Open Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
3. Select Add Account...
4. Select Other.
5. Select Add CalDAV Account.
6. Enter your account information:
* In the Server field, enter [ google.com ]
* In the Username field, enter your full Google Account or Google Apps email address.
* In the Password field, enter your Google Account or Google Apps password.
* In the Description field, enter the name you'd like to appear on the account.
7. Select Next at the top of your screen.

After you've completed setup, open the Calendar app on your device and syncing will automatically begin.

By default only your primary calendar will be synced to your device. You can sync additional calendars by visiting the following page from any web browser:

* https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect
(Google Apps users can go to https://www.google.com/calendar/hosted/your_domain/iphoneselect, replacing 'your_domain' with your actual domain name.)

Select the calendars you'd like to sync, and click Save. The selected calendars will display on your device at the time of the next sync.
