Hi so I've updated my Macbook to 10.15.2 and I've noticed whenever I browse the internet using the Chrome browser it gives me a beach spinning ball. Has anyone else noticed this? This is quite irritating as I use the browser quite a bit. Thanks!

good here on both my macs. is chrome up-to-date? try deleting the app and re-installing it. if that doesn't fix it, try moving the com.google.Chrome.plist file (in your HOME library, preferences folder) to the desktop (with the app closed FIRST). the re-open the app...

Same here. Tried removing data from Application Support folder as well as preferences file. Still happens. Maybe it's Chrome 79?

Easy way to reproduce is to quit application, start again, wait for a few seconds, click triple dot on top right and click "More Tools". In most cases it will hang for a few seconds and show a spinner. Also happening when using search bar, but more rarely.

I was told by a developer that this is an Apple bug and should be fixed by Apple. I wonder if the beta version has fixed this spinning wheel issue.

Try using Canary or Dev builds? A clear profile? Bare no extensions no cache or other remnants or history. Chrome is going to be a resource hog at the least.
