A very newbie question.

Can I use my Google chrome account on the SE? I need to download my favourite bookmarks etc. Can this be done?

Many thanks for any support you may kindly offer.

There is a Google Chrome browser on the iPhone that you can use. Not sure about transferring bookmarks on safari though

It’s easy to download the browser and sign in. You’ll have all your bookmarks.

I do hope you are correct. I have the SE here yet have not dared open it until I am 100% certain I can log onto my Google account using chrome on the SE and get by hundreds of bookmarks. The outlet was only fairly sure?

Thank you for the reply. :)

Yep, no worries at all. As long as your bookmarks are synced using google servers, they will appear fine.

Yep. I use all my chrome bookmarks (on the few occasions I use mobile chrome). No problem.

Well done you guys and gals. Chrome synced like a dream. Gmail too but for some odd reason not my phone contacts? .
I have yet to figure out the calendar but the one I found didn't sync?

Enjoying the SE. Typical Apple quality, superb, even the packaging!
IOS is a steep learning curve and I think I have agreed to Apple owning my house some time next year? Since turning this little gem on I have signed more agreements than at any time in my life! :D
Very smooth OS, my biggest problem so far is the size of the keyboard! I don't have large hands but still keep hitting the wrong key. I am spoilt with the Note 8. There are more positives to using IOS than I recall in the past and am enjoying trying to find my way around.

One VERY ODD thing. I used Apple several years ago and purchased music on iTunes Upon logging into iTunes I have lost all my previous purchases BUT have one album I have never bought? How can i get my purchased albums back?

I have taken a free trial of iTune radio or something like that...:D

So, any one care to continue helping this newbie out? Go on be brave!

Kind regards,

Ryland

Great enjoy your new device and welcome back to the Apple family. Your music should all be there if you’ve purchased them using the same account. Is it the U2 album that you didn’t purchase but is appearing in your library?

Most of Apple services are all cloud based now. Try to find the songs you purchased before and see if you can download them again for free.

Hi, Thanks for the kind reply. Yes, its U2? No idea how I got that?
Any idea about syncing my Google calendar. Do I have to down load some app? Same with my phone numbers, they didn't sync?
Purchased a nice portable DAC-Amp to go with the SE also bought some new sennheiser headphones the HD650's. All connected up and once the cans have been ran in all should be fantastic. I am enjoying exploring IOS even though its like learning a second language.
Out of interest do you find Android equally daunting when or if you ever use a mobile running Android?

Oh, I forgot to mention, I managed to somehow find my old purchases and as you wrote they where in the cloud system. Don't know much, if anything, about Apples cloud system non the less I managed with your help to download them. One CD is copying as I write this. Again thank you.

Kind regards, Ryland

Google calendar and contacts will sync in similar fashion you need to add the ID within the settings app and then allow access to contacts and calendar.

Hi. I downloaded the Google calendar and it synced. I removed the SIM card from my Note 8 placed it in the SE and downloaded the contacts from the SIM card. :)

Just trying to figure out now how I move my music on the PC on Windows media to iTunes?

The SE is a lovely tiny mobile. Pleased so far. I had no idea what to expect. I must say since my last Apple purchases Apple have learned how to play nicely with other software, its all good news. I just need a finger transplant now so I can use the keyboard :D

That U2 album was given for free to Apple users at one point.

Ah so..... Thought I had gone bonkers. I could not work out how the heck I bought that album?
